United to use the 787-9 in South American routes

United Airlines is going to replace the Boeing 767-300ER in the Buenos Aires-Houston route as same in the Santiago de Chile-Houston with the newest Boeing 787-9. In the Rio de Janeiro-Houston route the B787-9 is going to replace the actual service with B777-200ER. United´s B787-9 have a 252 passenger capacity configuration with 48 seats in Business First and 204 seats in Economy Class.

500 Airbus in Latin America

Airbus Industrie delivered the aircraft number 500 in the Latin American & Caribbean region, it´s an Airbus A321 for LAN Airlines.

New Eastern Air Lines flights to Cuba

The new Eastern Air Lines will operate daily flights to Havana, Cuba from Miami in cooperation with Havana Air airline. The new charter service operation will be serve by a next generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 16 First Class seats and 129 Economy Class seats.

Tianjin Airlines orders 22 Embraer´s

China´s Tianjin Airlines has order 20 Embraer E-195 and two E-190E2 valued $1.1 billion at current list prices. The first E-195 will be delivered in 2015, and the first new generation E-190E2 in 2018. Tianjin operates the largest Embraer fleet in Asia with 50 units of the E-190 model and 23 ERJ-145 in its fleet.

New Qatar Airways low cost airline

Al Maha is the newest Qatar Airways low-cost airline based in Saudi Arabia. The Qatari-Saudi airline received four new Airbus A320 aircraft in a day from manufacturer Airbus, an historic industry record.

Ethiopian first flight to Japan

Ethiopian Airlines starts non-stop flights from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Narita International Airport in Japan, three flights per week using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, marking the first Africa-Japan regular flight since EgyptAir withdrew from the route connecting Cairo and Tokyo in October 2013.

Jetstar non-stop flights to China

Australia´s low cost carrier Jetstar will launch non-stop flights from Australia (Gold Coast) to China (Wuhan) since September 29 twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays using a 335 seat Boeing 787-8.

50 Boeing 777-300ER for Cathay

Last week Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific Airways received from Boeing Commercial Airplane it´s Boeing 777-300ER number 50. Cathay operates 67 Boeing 777, five 200 model, twelve 300 model and now fifty 300ER (extended range) model. Cathay have the largest Boeing 777-300ER fleet in Asia.

Air Seychelles non-stop flights to Paris

Air Seychelles will start direct flights to Paris from Mahe, Seychelles three times per week since July 2015, replacing the two actual frequencies with a previous stop in Abu Dhabi using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

LIAT adds more ATR 42-600

Caribbean Airline LIAT (Leeward Islands Air Transport) adds a new ATR 42-600 (48 pax) in their fleet totalizing five. The airline already haves four ATR 72-600 (68 pax). With both ATR models LIAT will replace Bombardier Dash 8-100 and 300 turboprops.
