Swiss airline, Edelweiss Air has introduced a new revised livery to celebrate its 20th anniversary. In this picture we can see the basic change in an Airbus A330 tail with a larger Edelweiss flower.
TAP, Portugal´s national carrier is buying 53 new aircraft (14 Airbus A330-900neos, 15 Airbus A320neos, 24 Airbus A321neos) contract valued around $8.5 billion. As part of the agreement, TAP is replacing a previous order of 12 Airbus A350-900s. The Airbus A330neo is powered by Rolls-Royce´s new Trent 7000 engines.
South Korea´s Asiana Airlines has placed a firm order with Airbus for 25 A321neo aircraft. Asiana choose a 180 seats configuration in a two class layout. The new A321neo will bring a 20 per cent reduction in fuel consumption with the lowest operating costs on flights of up to six hours.
India´s carrier Jet Airways and BoeingCo signed an order for 75 new version 737s MAX 8, valued at around $8 billion at current list prices, during the Dubai Air Show.
Estonian Air ceased all operations after the European Union accused the airline from receiving illegal government subsidies, ordering it to recover $91.3 million. Estonian operates at least seven aircraft, 3 Bombardier CRJ-900 and 4 Embraer´s E-170. The flag carrier was based at Tallinn Airport.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Korean Air finalize an order for 30 B737-8 MAXs and two additional B777-300ER (Extended Range) valued at nearly $ 3.9 billion at current list prices.
